Substantivos II: 20 animais (Nouns II: 20 animals)

Good afternoon!

I want to write a bit about the animals.
How you must know, there are invertebrate and vertebrate animal species.

Among invertebrates, insects are the most famous member. An insect has a three-part body (head, thorax and abdomen). Examples: ant, butterfly, cockroach, etc. The invertebrates are the oldest animals in the world, because they were the first way of complex eucariota life.

Among vertebrates there are fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Humans are mammals like the rats, dogs, cats, cows etc. The fishes are the oldest vertebrates and they arrived before dinosaurs! Some people confused yourselves saying that whales are fishes, but it is not true! Whales are examples of mammals.

Below I will write the name of 20 animals.

* Cão é sinônimo de cachorro.

* Tartaruga vive em águas marinhas (mar). Cágado vive em águas doces. Jabuti vive no solo.

Exemplos de frases:

a) Eu tenho duas cachorras: uma Poodle e uma Partor-Alemão.

    I have two dogs: a Poodle and a German Shepherd.

b) Meu tio tem um gato.

    My uncle has a cat.

c) Tubarão é um animal cuja mordida é perigosa.

     Shark is an animal whose bite is dangerous.

d) A vaca produz leite.

    The cow makes milk.

e) O rato não gosta do gato.

    The rat does not like the cat.

f) Barata é um inseto nojento.

   Cockroach is a disgusting insect.

g) A pata bota ovos grandes.

    The duck produces big eggs.

Cãozinho, gatinho, peixinho, boizinho = formas carinhosas de dizer cão, gato, peixe e boi, respectivamente

pelado = naked

cachorrinho = forma carinhosa de dizer cachorro
