Concordância nominal I (Agreement of Nouns I)

Good afternoon!

I want to write about the agreement in Portuguese language.
It's very important for a good communication.

But what is the agreement of nouns? It's the relation between nouns (or pronouns) and other words connected for characterize them.

Today I will teach you about the agreement of genders: a male noun needs agree with a male word connected it. Obviously this rule happens with female gender too.

Maybe you can have difficulties because in English language there is no agreement: you use identical article for female and male words (THE boy / THE girl).

Artigos masculinos são usados somente em palavras masculinas.

Artigos femininos são usados somente em palavras femininas.

Exemplos:

a) O menino é feliz.

b) A menina é feliz.

c) Os meninos são felizes.

d) As meninas são felizes.

e) Um lápis foi encontrado.

f) Uma caneta foi perdida.

DESAFIO:

Escreva quatro frases sobre trabalhadores. Duas frases com substantivos masculinos e duas frases com substantivos femininos.

VOCABULÁRIO:

feliz = happy

encontrado = found

perdida = lost

trabalhadores = workers
